Dan joined the firm of JCM Franchise Development, LLC in February 2007 as Director of Business Development. Since joining the Joyal team in 2007, Dan’s efforts have produced over $75,000,000 of Restaurant M&A related closings, $50,000,000 of successful debt placements, and has completed in excess of 30 consulting engagements. JCM Franchise Development, LLC is a subsidiary of Joyal Capital Management, LLC and currently has over 200 franchise clients representing 1,200 locations with annual sales of $1,000,000,000 in 18 states. Our franchise division is based on the foundation of providing differentiated, value-added advice and services to our clients on complex strategic decisions and transactions. JCM Franchise Development provides advice on the full range of strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, sell-side and buy-side advisory services, leveraged buy-outs, joint ventures, strategic alliances, refinancing, debt placement, and other restructurings. Prior to joining the Joyal team, Dan spent 6 years at Dunkin’ Brands on the business development and franchising teams. His past leadership in mergers and acquisitions at Dunkin' Brands included the facilitation of the Purchase and Sale activity of Dunkin' restaurants in New England and Upstate New York. This process required leading more than 150 store transfers that involved store valuations, lease negotiations, lease assignments, valuation of rent streams, and debt restructurings. Most importantly, Dan was able to bridge the gap between Dunkin' Brands and the franchisee to allow for a smooth transition and an ultimate closing that provided a value proposition for everyone involved. Dan began his career in the Boston office of Ernst & Young, LLP where he spent six years in the audit and consulting divisions. Dan Connelly holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration- Babson College, Magna Cum Laude, a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Economics / Accounting - College of the Holy Cross, and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts. |
